Terri Baker is the author of all the offered guidebooks and reports. She has been going to the Hocking Hills of Ohio for over five decades. Her father bought a little cabin in the woods when she was a little girl and she is the second generation to own it. She has always been the family tour director when they get away for the weekend or take a vacation in the Hocking Hills. She has been a Volunteer Travel Counselor at the Hocking Hills Tourism Association since 1996. She continually updates her knowledge of the Hocking Hills by being involved with this organization.

Smoke Rise Ranch Horseman's Resort has reopened with new operators since the original owners retired. You don't need to travel out West of the Mississippi to experience a cowboy cattle ranch. 49th Annual Winter Hike

49th Annual Winter Hike
Every year on the third weekend in January an annual pilgrimage of hikers come to the Hocking Hills to hike the six mile Grandma Gatewood's Trail. This year it is scheduled for Saturday, January 18th. The trail begins at Old Man's Cave State Park and ends at Ash Cave State Park where a bus will transport you back to your car at Old Man's Cave. You can start walking the trail anytime from between 9 am to 11 am.
