Psalm 121 Discount Books and Gifts in Logan, Ohio is having a book signing for local author Terri Baker on Friday October 18th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at their store located at 110 East Main Street in the new Logan Town Center. Her first book, "The Best Kept Secrets of the Hocking Hills" will be available to purchase at the store during the book signing. It is the only guidebook written exclusively for the Hocking Hills and includes 149 color pictures of the Hocking Hills.

When I was a kid we used to tell scary ghost stories around a campfire at night. It was great fun to be frightened by a good ghost story or some super natural tale that always had a surprise ending. I think that is why I enjoyed the half mile walk through the woods at this year’s Wicked Forest at Hocking Peaks Adventure Park near Logan, Ohio. What intrigued me was the thought of a half mile hike through a forest at night. I have been to haunted houses before but never anything entirely outside.

The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway was just voted one of the WORLD'S top family-friendly train rides by the Travel Channel. I can attest to that when I rode on the sold out "Robbery Train" this year. I saw lots of kids and families on that train.

On Sunday, September 15th, from 11 am to 5 pm, the Vinton County Airport will host the 43rd Annual Air Show. It is a free event with a $10 fee for parking. A multitude of airplanes of all size and age with be on display.

The Friends of the Hocking Hills Organization is sponsoring an archery tournament for young archery enthusiasts. September 28, 2013 is the date it takes place. There will be a 12 target 24 shot contest with Elementary, Middle and High School Divisions and a $15.00 entry fee.
